Hello! How are you? I hope it is great☺️.
Today I bring you the review of a court of thorns and roses the first book of the trilogy of the same name.
I started reading this book because they put it together with el príncipe del sol by Claudia Ramírez, in castigada sin leer.
This is like a page on Instagram, which belongs to Andrea Izquierdo (booktuber and writer, I know you know☺️). And it is very good because a reading is chosen for the month and then audios are sent of what you found the book and she gathers them and makes a postcast on Spotify. I really liked the idea, I find it super interesting because many opinions are known.☺️
Thanks to those joint readings I read myself red, white and blue blood, el principe del sol and a court of roses and thorns. Three books that I really wanted to read but for one reason or another I never read.
So I saw this profile as the opportunity to read those books that I still have and are unread or to discover new books.😄
Let's conclude that I will continue reading books that do joint reading 😄
After telling you this, I'm already going through the bush 😅. It is to situate ourselves that this is how I decided to read this book that, apart from the Instagram page, I wanted to read it before because it is a book that has many opinions and that I read enough that said it was very good. And you just have to look at the goodreads page, it has almost 4'5, it does not arrive but it is close. Which is not bad at all. In fact it is very good score. So I wanted to read it more.
And here we are prepared to give you my opinion.😄
So without more after the roll of the introduction I leave you the cover, the synopsis and data of the book. 😄
Feyre's survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price ...
Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre's presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever.

Saga: A Court Of Thorns And Roses (1)
As I said earlier this book I read it for various reasons and one of them was because everyone spoke quite well of it. And because I saw a lot of fanart that I already spoiled some things but anyway.😂
And when I finished reading it, I liked it but it didn't seem as good as people said. Yes, that's fine, but nothing more. It's entertaining
Then when I finished it and looked for more opinions I saw that there were people who did not like anything and gave it a very bad score. Come on there was no middle ground.😂
So I go into that group where you liked it, it's entertaining but it's not great.😄
To start the story I liked it. The book already sold me very well because it is a version of beauty and the beast, and this is my favorite story when I was a child, so that's why I had a positive point.😄
The book is about Feyre who is a human who has to go to the forest to hunt since her family depends on it. One day he meets a fairly large wolf and ends up killing him and it turns out that this is a fairy (I do not consider this a spoiler) and they just go looking for her and take her to the spring court where Tamlim and Lucien appear and the whole plot begins where they will have to break the curse.
Well then you see how Feyre and Tamlin fall in love, the appearance of other characters including the villain Amarantha, who really is a villain if it is scary🙈).
I did not like the beginning of the book very much. I found it somewhat boring. Yes, it is true that there were moments that if they were entertaining but meh.
The book if I found much more entertaining just half or a little more than half. You could tell when Feyre gets into more trouble for ignoring either Tamlin or Lucien.
This is one thing that really bothered me about Feyre🙈. He ignored nothing. If they told her to stay in the room, she didn't. That on the other hand, because that made the book more fun. But that attitude that the protagonists have of ignoring, of doing what they want, usually makes me nervous 😂😂.
Already naming my favorite part I think it was when he has to do the tests that Amarantha sends her. That test had me in tension. I liked all three. I almost felt the tension that the protagonist felt.
That now that I think about it as I write. I do see many similarities to the crystal throne, which is the author's other saga. Especially in this of the tests. I remember that in the crystal throne saga in the first one, the protagonist had to carry out tests to become the king's murderer. And if that seemed like a small wink in this book.
It also seems somewhat similar to me in the love relationship of the protagonists. And this is already something that I think and that the fanart also helped me to think like that😅. And I think that Feyre at the end of the trilogy is not going to stay with Tamlin but with Rhysand.
And that was similar to a glass throne for me because in this saga Aelin liked Chaol but then she meets Rowan then they hate each other and then she stays with him. Well, in this book Feyre likes Tamlin but then he meets Rhysand, they hate each other and I think she will choose him. Conclusion stays with the second😂.
Ok if this is already a theory. But it has been good for me 😂. I'll confirm it when the trilogy ends 😂😂
As for the characters, my favorites are Tamlin but especially Lucien. I love how he jokes and how he messes with Feyre😂. It has given a funny touch to the book. Also I love how he protects and helps Feyre especially at the end. To see how he is taking love, I love it.
And Tamlin is just wonderful. I think he is the kindest fairy there is and I think he is the strongest of all. 😂 And I love her relationship with Feyre.
Feyre, as I said before, made me nervous. But I must admit that thanks to that she made the book entertaining, so I won't say anything bad about her😄. That really brave nobody wins and that I love in a protagonist.
I would also like to mention two more characters. One of them in Rhysand who to tell the truth had me confused throughout the book. Until I got to the end I didn't like him. Since removing when he meets Feyre the rest of the book was a bastard and I fell super bad. But then at the end you see that everything was to help her and to kill Amarantha and save his court, and then I liked him better 😄
And the other character is Amarantha. I fall fatal but I must admit that as a villain I loved it. She's cruel and sadistic and crazy, I like her as a villain. When I read it it was like what a bastard and cruel, I love it😂.
The end I think I more or less did not expect it but when I read it I liked it and it could be perfectly the end, so I see that the second is going to focus on the love triangle. So my gossip side is delighted but I hope there is a plot that has action that will end up boring me otherwise. 😂 Still I will continue reading the trilogy that I think can be very good 😄
In conclusion, I liked it does not seem like a wonder book , but as I always say if it entertained you, it has fulfilled its function.😄
Score: 3'75 / 5 stars (🌟🌟🌟⭐)
